- All puppies/kittens must have had their third and final puppy C5 and kitten F3 vaccination at least 14 days prior to arrival for us to accept them into our care. Vaccinations (C5 for dogs and F3 for cats) must have been done at least 14 days prior to arrival if adult animal is not up to date with a current vaccination. We do not accept Titre tests as proof of vaccination.
- All cats are to be desexed if they are older than 8 months of age.
- The Operator reserves the right to refuse entry to any animal without being required to give explanation at any time.
- A boarding fee, as set by the Operator, may be payable by credit card or EFT at the time of booking for each animal. Accounts for animal/s being delivered home or to an Agency, will be processed by credit card on departure. Long term boarders will pay monthly payments which shall be processed by credit cards or online transfers.
- The full period booked will be charged in school holiday periods. A minimum booking during the Christmas school holiday period is 7 days. $100 minimum non-refundable deposit for December/January peak period bookings must be made 28 days after initial booking is confirmed. Full payment is required by December 1st for bookings throughout the December/January peak period. Cancellations up to 2 weeks from check in date will receive full refund less deposit. No refund will be given for less than two weeks’ notice unless Operator is able to fill the spot. Cancellations must be sent via email.
- Boarding rates are charged on a per calendar day basis, irrespective of the time of arrival or departure.
- The owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding in effect no later than the day of departure/pick up, unless discussed with the Operator.
- The owner agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested and any veterinary costs for the animal during the time the animal is in the Operator’s care. In the event of the animal’s serious illness and where the owner cannot be readily contacted the veterinary surgeon’s decision in relation to treatment of the animal shall be final and conclusive.
- The operator takes every care to maintain the condition of items supplied by the owner, but given the nature of animals the Operator takes no responsibility for the condition of items at time of check out. The owner is solely responsible for remembering what they gave to the operator and for asking for it’s return at time of check out. All items should be clearly labelled with animals details.
- The owner agrees to be solely responsible for all acts or behaviour of the animal while it is in the Operator’s care and hereby indemnifies the Operator and shall keep the Operator indemnified to the full extent permitted by law for any action of the animal which apart from this indemnity may have created any liability on the Operator.
- The operator highly recommends that your pet be covered by pet insurance.
- The owner specifically represents that he or she is the sole owner of the animal, free and clear of all liens or encumbrances.
- All charges incurred by the owner pursuant to this agreement must be paid before the animal leaves the Operator’s premises.
- If all charges are not paid, the Operator has the right to offer the animal for public sale or otherwise dispose of the animal in any manner which the Operator may in its sole and absolute discretion deem appropriate. If such sale/disposal does not secure a price adequate to cover the charges and the cost of sale/disposal, the owner is liable to the Operator for any shortfall. The Operator may take this course of action as set out herein if not advised of a pickup date and/or no communication is made within two (2) weeks of the advised checkout date. At this time the animal will be deemed to be abandoned.
- Under no circumstances will the Operator, or its employees or agents, be held responsible for illness, injury, death, loss, or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal while in the control of the Operator.
- Any special requirements for pets must be discussed and approved with Operator before check in. This includes special diets, medication (prescription or not) or pre-existing injuries/behavioural issues. All medication that is prescription must come in original packaging, with script details clearly labelled. The Operator will not accept any medication in unlabelled bags or containers.
- If an animal has become ill/injures themselves prior to check in the Operator requires a written statement from the animal’s Veterinarian outlining the illness or injury and giving written approval for the animal to be in the Operator’s care.
- In regards to pick up and drop off services – whilst all care is taken by our staff when travelling with your pet, the Operator accepts no responsibility for any circumstances throughout the travel.
- Under no circumstances will pregnant dogs or cats be accepted into care. If the dog or cat is found to be pregnant during their stay the owners will be contacted for immediate collection of dog or cat. If owners are unable to collect dog/cat, and are unable to organise immediate alternative care, the dog/cat will be taken to a vet chosen by the Operator to remain in their care until owners return.
- A complimentary hydrobath is offered to dogs who stay for 5 days or longer. This is a hydrobath only as the Operator does not offer grooming services. The Operator takes all care in regards to pet hygiene, but as grooming services are not offered, Operator accepts no responsibility for condition of pets coat upon check out. A standard hydrobath wash is used unless specified by owner (Operator also stocks Aloveen and Malaseb wash to be used upon request by owner).
- Requests for updates can be sent to the Operator via phone, email, private Instagram message or Messenger. Please allow between 24-48 hours for update to be sent through, including time differences if travelling internationally. No updates will be sent unless a request is sent by the owner. Please check Facebook and Instagram pages for Glasshouse Pet Retreat as the Operator does endeavour to post photos/videos to these platforms as regularly as possible.
- By signing these conditions, the owner acknowledges their acceptance of the Conditions of Boarding Animal and certifies the accuracy of all information given about the animal. The owner acknowledges that the signing of this contract shall create a lien over the animal in favour of the Operator which lien shall continue to exist whilst ever monies are owing to the Operator pursuant to this agreement.
